OUR SERVICES
Orphanage:
At present Sampatthu is running very well & We have initiated following measures to make our Sampatthu the best Hostel for under-privileged children.
- Free food, clothing, shelter and good education.
- Good medical care by a doctor who visits our orphanage once in a month for health check up of the children.
- We have engaged services of a trained psychiatrist/counselors - Dr. Sudhindra Kumar T and his Team to counsel the children once in a week.
- Food prescription is drawn by a dietician who visits the orphanage once in six months.
- Tuition, in the evenings, is provided to ensure that our boys do not lag behind others in the school.
- Children are taught Sanskrit shlokas to imbibe in them Indian culture.
Cultural centre:
Apart from bringing up the children, we have made sampatthu a cultural center too. We have initiated following activities, at no cost, for the women and children who are living around sampatthu.
- Conducting drawing classes for children for our Sampatthu and other children who live in the vicinity twice in the week. About 30-35 children are attending the drawing classes.
- Organizing one literary or music or spiritual programme in the evening of first Sunday of every month. We have organized 76 such programmers so for.
- We are conducting free Carnatic music and yoga classes for the housewives in the nearby area (music classes once in a week and yoga classes twice in a week)
Computer Lab & Job Provided:
We are providing free computer application training to poor under graduates / graduates from predominantly rural areas. They are provided with 3 months free courses to make them eligible for inclusion in corporate employment. A similar course outside would cost them not less than Rs 40000-50000. Thanks to the effort of a dedicated professional Prof..Rajaram, retired professor of IIT, who is managing the activities. He is assisting in future placements of the trainees, we are glad to say that around 120 of them have secured jobs with pay around Rs.10 to 18K.
